WP is not the news, no indication this crime is of any long term significance. Codf1977 (talk) 10:28, 23 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]
- Delete per WP:NOTNEWS. Because it was random and on video I wouldn't be surprised if it developed into something more significant down the road but so much is unsure right now.--NortyNort (Holla) 11:29, 23 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]
- Delete as Wikipedia is not a place for news reports, there is no evidence of lasting notability or Wikipedia is not a memorial site, they are only notable for their deaths. (If the creator wishes, it can be userfied.) Armbrust Talk Contribs 13:48, 23 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

- Don't Delete This article should not be deleted, just edited to reflect current changes in the event. It's not a memorial page. The incident occured only a week ago and following the news it has turned major internationally. This page is just as legitimate as Stoning of Dua Khalil. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 96.48.237.103 (talk) 20:20, 23 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

- Comment: BBC, Samaa tv. I just stumbled across Moiz Butt and Muneez Butt which was created proceeding this page in regards to the same incident. The two can be merged. I'm not trying to keep this entry simply because I put it up; it will land in Wikipedia at some point due to it's significance which is premature at this point. Sadly, I don't have the time to research on all the facts due to a full-time job. I wrote it neutrally, someone else edited it that makes it seem motivational as well as memorial. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 96.48.237.103 (talk) 08:04, 24 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

- Keep This incident was hugely publicized and has been reported in the national press for days; there's even government-level intervention. The event, apart from sparking outrage, is the source of several columns and editorials. Mar4d (talk) 13:49, 28 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]
- Keep and Merge with the other related page, per Mar4d. WP:NOTNEWS is totally irrelevant here. An incident which has dominated the national news for days is not just a random ordinary news. Alefbe (talk) 20:51, 28 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]
- For the sake of record, there are two other duplicate articles which have been created to document this incident; Moiz Butt and Muneeb Butt and Bhutter Tragedy. A merge would be best. Mar4d (talk) 07:24, 30 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]
- delete for now no indication at this time than it is anything more than part of the 24-hour news cycle during the slow August month. If in the future the event is continually cited as having had some sort of impact (on a government, on people's reaction to mob violence or to police officers or whatever), then it can be created in a format that reflects its impact.
