I'm not speedying this, as it's one of Wikipedia's earliest pages so maybe there's a reason I'm missing as to why it's survived eighteen years. (It's technically survived an AfD, but the page discussed then had little relationship to the current article other than the title.) I can see absolutely no possible use this page could ever have, as it's a pure content fork from Professional wrestling. I'd be willing to bet a sizeable sum that 99% of its pageviews are from people who are actually looking for List of professional wrestling promotions, and if there is any content on this page worth saving it would be more use to everyone involved if it served as a header to that page rather than a stand-alone article. ‑ Iridescent 05:53, 6 December 2022 (UTC)

- Merge to List of professional wrestling promotions. That list is lacking a suitable introduction and this article comes across as exactly that. RadioKAOS / Talk to me, Billy / Transmissions 11:41, 6 December 2022 (UTC)
- Keep While this is like many wikipedia articles, your quality may vary, this serves a necessary function. Professional wrestling inherently uses a lot of jargon. Insiders understand what kayfabe might be, but wikipedia is here to inform the public. This article gives a direct link to a common reference within wrestling articles. Almost all wrestlers work for a promotion, they gain their fame under the wing of one promotion before expanding to another promotion or maybe the independent circuit that is still run by promoters. Yes this article can be expanded upon. The territory system and its historical enforcement, Vince McMahon's challenging of that system to create what became WWE immediately comes to mind. The main point is, you don't get better quality through destruction, you only get destruction. And this article is not meritorious of destruction. Trackinfo (talk) 06:17, 12 December 2022 (UTC)

- Keep or merge I agree that this article serves a purpose and the subject is likely independently notable. A merge may be sensible, but I don't think AfD is the right forum for this either way.LM2000 (talk) 14:28, 15 December 2022 (UTC)
