- Comment Not much there yet, but the topic is plausible, given the history as part of the Ottoman Empire. References and article improvement, anyone? Edison (talk) 19:07, 10 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]
- Keep I agree that the topic is plausible, and the Google News search [1] seems to bear this out. "New Palestinian Embassy inaugurated by presidents" (just last month) and this from the Jerusalem Post [2] (apparently, Israel thinks that Turkey is a close ally with Palestine) indicates that this has room to grow. POV-iness and references are problems that can be fixed. Mandsford (talk) 19:14, 10 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]
- Keep This article has some interesting aspects. One is the present state of diplomatic relations between the occupied areas now called Palestine (by those who favor a "two state solution")and Turkey. Does occupied "Palestine" send and receive accredited diplomats, or is it via Israel? From the establishment of the British Palestine mandate until 1948, there are apparently reliable sources for diplomatic relations via the British with Turkey, per the Holocaust Encyclopedia[3]. Jewish European refugees arriving in Turkey got visa to Palestine through the British. Previously, Palestine was part of the Ottoman Empire[4]. Do we have articles on "Relations" between parts of one empire? Is this better covered in another existing article or articles? Edison (talk) 00:09, 11 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]
- Keep actually, Speedy Keep. There are two reasons given for deletion, and they are neither of them valid reasons: "POVy" is merely a matter for editing--I've never even seen that actually given as a reason at AfD before except in the companion AfD -- and "unreferenced" is not a reason, just unreferenceable. Blind searching of the exact phrase in an article title like this is not a good faith effort to meet WP:BEFORE. Not just obvious that there would be relationships, but enough has already been found. - Keep per the above. Turkey recognizes both Israel and the State of Palestine, by the way.John Z (talk) 05:19, 11 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]
- STRONG DELETE This article is a nonsense stub with zero sources or references. Delete, with extreme prejudice. The Scythian 02:42, 12 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]
- Keep as notable; needs to be 100% re-written with some sourcing. Sometimes POV can be reason to delete to re-write in an unbiased manner; this is not so tainted to be unsalvageable. Carlossuarez46 (talk) 21:15, 12 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]
- Speedy keep as above. Just needs expansion and referencing. Dr. Blofeld White cat 13:02, 13 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]
