Non-notable guy. He did a nice work but he is only mentioned in media because of his death in an aircraft incident. Damiens.rf 15:43, 4 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]
- Comment He is considered a key figure in the battle against illegal arms trade by the Herald Scotland. Cenarium (talk) 00:29, 5 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]
- No. He was called a key figure in a posthumous article about his death. --Damiens.rf 03:36, 5 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]
- This is not just posthumous homage going beyond facts. The article gives evidence to support that he was a key figure. He's made lots of noted contributions in the area, he's consultant in Small Arms Survey, an organization advocating small arms control, which seems leading in the area, used as reference in several WP articles such as Small arms proliferation, his work was essential in the development of landmark small arms legislation in Brazil, he made noted investigation work on arms companies and drug gangs, he advised the government of Mozambique and was about to advise the gvnmt of Angola. In addition to this source, several reliable Spanish sources suggest his importance in the field as well, making him the subject of multiple secondary sources, ensuring notability, and this notability is independent of the crash. So, keep. Cenarium (talk) 14:14, 5 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

- Keep Google News stories about Dreyfus in Spanish go back to 2001. His work for Viva Rio was first mentioned in English in The Economist in 2002. Guns in Brazil; Disarming: A law that might save many lives Nov 20th 2003. Then Please Don't Shoot; Marcela Sanchez May 5, 2005, Washington Post. Notable for his work in the area of arms smuggling prevention and gun control for seven years before his death, even in English-speaking countries. The Spanish language cites outnumber the English at least 10 to 1, but together with the reports published at the time of his death, there is more than enough to source the information in the article and provide verifiability.

- Keep. It has been demonstrated that sources other than those in relation to the aircraft incident exist and show notability for this person. Artichoker[talk] 16:47, 5 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]
- Keep - an obituary may be the major reliable source about a person's life, as in this case. Luckily, there are other sources already added to the article. Once notable in life, or at death, then a person is almost always notable in the yeasr after death. This is not a 1BPE case. Bearian (talk) 20:38, 5 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]
- Keep He was obviously notable enough to pass WP:GNG from his work alone. His death only added to his notability. --NellieBly (talk) 00:28, 6 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]
