This article, which was very possibly originally written by the subject (it was created by a single-purpose account called 'Octoberrocks', which matches the name of the subject's personal website), concerns a surfer and musician. It has been the subject of a slow edit war, in which several accounts (two of which I have just CU-blocked) have been trying to remove mention of the subject's conviction for benefit fraud. The material is verifiable - aside from the two sources in the article, Google tells me that The Times also covered the case (but I can't read the whole article because of the paywall). Aside from the stuff about the conviction however, I don't think she's notable - aside from Wikipedia and mirror sites, I'm not finding any sources giving her significant coverage apart from those which are about the court case. I think WP:BLP1E applies here - she's a relatively unknown person, who shows up in news reports purely because she was convicted of a crime. Comment There are various articles on the fraud issue when searching for "October Hamlyn-Wright", almost all in the UK, but there is the odd international one (e.g. https://www.worksydney.com.au/surfer-36-falsely-claimed-14000-in-disability-benefits-while-touring-the-world/). Weak delete All independant coverage seems to be about the fraud, and isn't WP:SUSTAINED enough to meet WP:GNG, though I'm saying weak as there was a little bit of international coverage of it. -Kj cheetham (talk) 17:25, 1 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Delete - Her music has not attracted reliable notice from music journalists, and her surfing has not attracted reliable notice from sports journalists. So she's a person who does two things, good for her. That does not add up to notability. Meanwhile, she indeed made the news for her fraud conviction, but she is not notable for that either, per WP:CRIME, which says the crime itself must be worthy of widespread analysis or at least committed by a notable person. ---DOOMSDAYER520 (TALK|CONTRIBS) 18:51, 1 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]
