Nanoscope[edit]

The term is a neologism. It is not in use to describe a microscope, even in the microscopy community. There are a very few uses in reference to the hypotheical atomic nanoscope, but not enough to suggest that the term is in general use. Note that there are two commercial devices with the name "Nanoscope," that just confuse the issue a bit. One is a controller for an SPM and the other is a medical device. Because of this, a Google search confusingly makes it look like the term is common. eaolson 14:21, 3 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]
