OR essay, should probably be deleted and/or merged with Demographics of South Korea if there's anything worth salvaging. Ploni (talk) 16:49, 16 July 2022 (UTC)

- Comment of pros and cons:
- On the pro side, the topic, on its face, is one that can merit coverage, even as a stand-along article. The article provides references, and it plausible to me that there would even more scholarship and discussion on the matter in Korea (the challenge for most non-Koreans wikipedians, is being able to read publications in Korean). The article also provides tables and graphs which is a nice complement to the text of the article. And I am inclined to believe that it was written in good faith; I think it was a university/academic contribution
- On the con side, the writing is lacking; I agree it does feel like an essay. Some non-trivial amount of work would be needed to improve it.
- I wish we could keep and improve it over deleting it, but I understand that the article as it exists is not apt for Wikipedia. I am pinging @Piotrus:@Finnusertop: who I believe had made attempts to improve this article and/or have an interest in this geography. Thank you. Al83tito (talk) 00:54, 17 July 2022 (UTC)
- Keep. This article could use further cleanup, but the nom has just presented an assertion that this is an an OR essay, without elaborating here nor on talk, IMHO that's a failure of WP:BEFORE. The article cites scholarly sources, and I in the parts I checked I didn't notice obvious essay-like language ("in my opinion", etc). The topic is notable, I don't see the need for WP:TNT, and WP:AFDNOTCLEANUP. Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus| reply here 07:23, 17 July 2022 (UTC)

- Comment I might have used a better title but the article seems ok, not a topic I would have thought of. Unsure of notability. Sourcing seems good. Perhaps a rewrite would help. Oaktree b (talk) 20:35, 24 July 2022 (UTC)
- Comment There is an article for Racism in South Korea. Dream Focus 22:31, 24 July 2022 (UTC)
- @Dream Focus The topics are related but not identical. Consider Multiracial Americans (where Multicultural family in the United States could redirect to) to Racism in the United States... PS. I think multi-cultural framing is more European, US is all about race terminology. Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus| reply here 09:25, 25 July 2022 (UTC)
