Unsourced and uncategorized since the last edit by the original creator on September 4, 2012. According to the creator's contributions, it's very likely a single purpose account to advertise for Mobage on Wikipedia without studying our policies or guideline before editing. - Keep - I don't think it should be deleted. Just because it has less information on it does'nt mean it should be deleted. You can read about Mobage, on Venture Beat(http://venturebeat.com/tag/mobage/). I can help in the Categorisation of the article, and and with the addition of the "Trustworthy" links.
Please comment here, and reach a consesus as soon as possible.
- If this link(http://venturebeat.com/tag/mobage/) is fine, then I can add it as reference on the Mobage page. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Akshat police (talk • contribs) 20:17, 22 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]
- That link in particular shouldn't be used as a reference, but some of the article's available from that link could be used. Like this one: http://venturebeat.com/2011/11/16/japanese-firms-battle-for-mobile-social-game-supremacy/ Sergecross73 msg me 16:07, 25 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]
- Weak Keep. (Edited from Delete.) Lacking a lot of sources, but seems faintly notable. LogicalCreator (talk)

- Keep - Plenty of coverage in reliable, third party sources. Passes the WP:GNG. I feel like the nominator failed to follow through on WP:BEFORE very well. Reliable sources include:
- Venture Beat does an article about it being one of 2 big ways Japanese companies are entering Mobile gaming.
- Gamasutra does an article showing how Mobage was responsible for record profits.
- Game Industry does an article regarding expansion into China.
- IGN verifies a userbase of 25 million.
- I can keep going, as I see them in the video game headlines all the time, but I feel like this is a rather clear cut case. Sergecross73 msg me 16:21, 25 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]
- Delete as failing WP:GNG. One reference is a press release and the other a non-critical interview. If in-depth coverage in multiple independent sources is added to the article, feel free to ping my talk page. Stuartyeates (talk) 22:33, 28 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]
- Comment - I disagree with your assessment of the sources, but I'll keep going then:
- Venturebeat article about Mobage launch.
- Venturebeat article regarding Ngmoco's relationship with Mobage.
- Gamasutra article discussing DeNA and Mobage.
- Venturebeat discussion with Ngmoco's CEO regarding Mobage.
- Venturebeat article regarding Mobage on Samsung phones.
- (FYI, for those not familiar, Venturebeat is a reliable source, and I asked Wikiproject Video Game's source noticeboard and was told that it is regarded as reliable in general as well - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia_talk:WikiProject_Video_games/Sources/Archive_6#Venture_Beat) Sergecross73 msg me 16:57, 29 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

- Keep. Mobage/Mobage Town is absolutely huge in Japan and there is more than enough coverage out there for it to pass WP:GNG. There are plenty of English-language souces (e.g. [1][2][3]) and there are many, many more in Japanese. I saw 800 results for "モバゲー" on Google Books, including a book titled モバゲータウンがすごい理由 (Reasons why Mobage Town is amazing). — Mr. Stradivarius (have a chat) 02:11, 30 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]
- Keep - Lots of news articles. At least three with Mobage in the article name, going back at least to "Can Mobage-town operator remain on growth track?, "Mobage-town operator DeNA inspected over alleged unfair practice, Nikkei Weekly, (August 18, 2008)." "FTC searches Mobage Town offices, Daily Yomiuri December 9, 2010." Japan Computer Industry Scan December 13, 2010. Seems likely there is a lot more coverage in Japanese language sources. There are a lot of Mobage press releases, but the writers of the Wikipedia Mobage article haven't relied on them. -- Uzma Gamal (talk) 02:26, 30 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]
