- Question - "(2nd nomination)", where's the first one? chandler 03:58, 13 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]
- Article was WP-PROD on 12 July 2009 which was removed without real discussion. Steve-Ho (talk) 07:23, 13 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

- Delete non-notable footballer. Centred around one event and also poorly written and loads of unsourced rubbish. Spiderone (talk) 12:34, 13 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]
- Comment - I wasn't aware that being poorly written was grounds for deletion....8lgm (talk) 15:18, 13 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]
- No it's not but the article should meet Wikipedia's standards. Spiderone (talk) 08:21, 14 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]
- So why do you raise in an AfD? If it's a problem with the writing, then it can be fixed after all.. 08:41, 14 August 2009 (UTC) —Preceding unsigned comment added by 8lgm (talk • contribs)
- Yes but also the unsourced claims in the article are presumably used so it passes notability but since they're unsourced we can't believe that it's true. Explain why this article shouldn't go. Spiderone (talk) 08:46, 14 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]
- Yet again, you are misinterpreting what I've typed. Nowhere do I say it shouldn't go, I'm abstaining on that. I just object to the use of such arguments that should be irrelevant to the deletion process being raised. Also, if it is unsourced, then isn't adding unsourced to the article an option, or better still finding sources to improve such articles? 8lgm (talk) 10:01, 14 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

- Delete - right now it doesn't seem he can claim notability outside wp:athlete, which he currently fails. But be prepared for the possibility of change on Sunday (as injury problems might give him a start in the Premier League) chandler 17:48, 13 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]
- Delete concur with user:chandler. recreate if and when --ClubOranjeT 00:34, 14 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]
- Delete, recreate if he plays professional football for Liverpool or anyone else. I don't actually think it's especiallyu likely he will play this weekend or any time soon -- ChrisTheDude (talk) 08:36, 14 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]
- New development? Athletic Bilbao [1] confirms that he's with them for a season long loan. chandler 17:13, 14 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]
- It's still no reason for him to be kept. I didn't realise he was Basque. Spiderone (talk) 17:16, 14 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]
