The result was keep. Consensus is that he meets WP:NACTOR. (non-admin closure) Onel5969 TT me 14:44, 28 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Questionably notable and improvable as he only seems to have been best known for some work such as 11 episodes of One Tree Hill, Beyond the Break and Powers Rangers and the best links I found was only this, this, this and this (several of these links are also simply gossip such as for being cast as a likely Twilight film member). At best, this would be a weak keepable article and it may also be best to simply redirect to perhaps Beyond the Break (his best known and longest work?). Notifying past users Logical Fuzz, Hullaballoo Wolfowitz and Flyer22 Reborn and also familiar subject AfDers Onel5969, TheRedPenofDoom, [email protected] and MichaelQSchmidt. • Comment: It certainly seems that he lacks WP:Notability; I'll leave this matter in the hands of other editors. As for his best known work, I mainly know as him as Felix Taggaro from One Tree Hill, and, given the popularity of that show among teenagers and young adults at the time, I think he is known more so for that than any other role. The character's sister, Anna Taggaro, got more attention from the press, however. And so did the character's portrayer, Daniella Alonso. Flyer22 Reborn (talk) 08:07, 21 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]
  • Keep. Best known by me for another reason, Scorpion King, maybe the only work of his I've seen. As bad as it is, The Scorpion King 2: Rise of a Warrior is a clearly notable production and Copon was the lead. Night of the Demons is also clearly notable and he had a significant role in it. Also had significant roles in other ?notable films, BoyBand and Bring It On: In It to Win It. Had a full season as a Power Ranger. Enough roles for WP:NACTOR. He's also a reality show winner and one of People magazine's 50 Hottest Bachelors in 2005. On the coverage side, Manila Bulletin likes him. Looks like there was even two articles about him published on the same day (date of publication listed varies). "Fil-am actor-musician Michael Copon out to prove his worth as musician", Manila Bulletin, 9 April 2011 and "Rising int'l act Michael Copon proud to be Pinoy", Manila Bulletin, 9 April 2011. Also around then was "Fil-Am picked as front act for Bruno Mars concert in PHL", Manila Bulletin, 17 March 2011 and "Michael Copon almost played Jacob in 'Twilight,' Troy on 'High School Musical'", Manila Bulletin, 6 April 2011. Along with Ignacio, Angela V. (9 April 2011), "Michael Copon almost played Jacob in 'Twilight,' Troy on 'High School Musical'", Philippine Daily Inquirer. These were at the time he went to the Philippines as Bruno Mars's opening act. duffbeerforme (talk) 03:17, 23 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]
  • Keep – Copon should clear WP:NACTOR fairly clearly, based on Scoprion King, Bring It On, One Tree Hill and Beyond the Break. But I'll add him to my list of actor BLPs that need better sourcing... --IJBall (contribstalk) 22:37, 23 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]
    • OK, I've added referencing from Variety, The Hollywood Reporter and Entertainment Weekly. I'll leave it to others to decide as to whether this establishes enough "notability", but it firms up my view that this article is a "keep". (It would be an even stronger "Keep" if I could get access to the press releases from the mid-2000's that used to be available from The Futon Critic. Oh well...) --IJBall (contribstalk) 03:05, 24 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]
