As far as I can tell neither of the sources mention this, I would CSD but it might be real. Slatersteven (talk) 14:21, 23 June 2020 (UTC)

- Delete unless sources substantiating existence can be found. Expanding on Slatersteven's point, I too could find nothing suggesting it exists. It was added to List of medals for bravery by the page creator, and is elsewhere mentioned in Odowaa Yusuf Rageh (uncited and sources there only mention that he was awarded awards), in Abdullahi Ahmed Irro (not in source provided— based upon Ctrl+F—and File:IRROSOGW0977.jpg (which has a dubious licence and no sourcing to verify that it is the same award)), and in Mohammad Ali Samatar (uncited, only in infobox). It's possible I'm missing something, but right now it seems the award doesn't exist. Eddie891 Talk Work 16:06, 23 June 2020 (UTC)
- Hello, page creator here, the medal does exist, but I did upload an image of it to WikiMedia Commons where it taken down due to copyright infringement, I also would like to stress that I am trying to link all articles and I am still searching for a image of the physical medal that is under Creative Commons and to expand the article itself iamveryshy22 — Preceding unsigned comment added by Iamveryshy22 (talk • contribs) 16:21, 23 June 2020 (UTC)
- We do not need a image we need a source for its existence, such as a new paper announcing it being awarded to someone.Slatersteven (talk) 16:25, 23 June 2020 (UTC)
- Iamveryshy22, It would be great if you could provide a reliable source that mentions the medal so we can verify that it does exist. Unfortunately, we cannot just take someone's word for it. Best wishes, Eddie891 Talk Work 16:27, 23 June 2020 (UTC)
- Okay Eddie, glad to help out in any way I can User:Iamveryshy22 —Preceding undated comment added 16:41, 23 June 2020 (UTC)
- Delete unless some pretty good sourcing turns up; my BEFORE found zippo (although neither Somali or Arabic are native tongues to me!), but there may be some in those languages. However, that would then only prove that it exists and not be a hoax: it would still need to be covered by multiple, independent third-party sources to stay remain a stand-alone article. ——Serial # 19:09, 23 June 2020 (UTC)
- Delete - no reliable sources provided; neither heard nor seen of anything of new CDF Rageh being awarded any such medal. At this diff, the page creator says that Cooper, "Wings over Ogaden" explicitly states that Irro was awarded the medal. According to G-Books preview, "Wings over Ogaden" doesn't included either the words "medal" or "valour". I hesitate to write exactly what this means in terms of WP:HOAX. - Delete No verifiable evidence for existence, and even if it existed, no evidence that WP:GNG is met. buidhe 01:57, 24 June 2020 (UTC)
- Note that state honours and decorations are generally presumed to be notable if they are verified to exist. -- Necrothesp (talk) 11:21, 24 June 2020 (UTC)
- You may presume them to be notable; I don't. buidhe 00:33, 25 June 2020 (UTC)
- True dat. They are generally held to be notable because it is assumed that reliable sources will generally have given them broad, sustained coverage: but if they haven't, they aint. ——Serial # 06:07, 25 June 2020 (UTC)
- Consensus, however, clearly agrees with me. Note that I didn't say this one was notable as it appears its existence can't be verified. -- Necrothesp (talk) 13:45, 25 June 2020 (UTC)

- Delete High probability that this is a hoax due to unverifiability, likely doesn’t pass GNG either. If there is someone who speaks Somali maybe they could help verify the article. Eternal Shadow Talk 15:14, 30 June 2020 (UTC)
