Non-notable cricketer, fails WP:GNG and nothing significant in coverage. There are not enough reliable sources. Reliable sources in significant coverage have to show that GNG actually is met.  A.A Prinon  Conversation 10:58, 2 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]

  • Redirect to List of East Pakistan first-class cricketers Does pass CRIN with 4 FC appearances, but as usual with domestic cricketers playing in Pakistan we struggle for sources. If they were to exist they'd be offline or in Pakistani language sources. His career wasn't standout though so redirect a suitable WP:ATD. Rugbyfan22 (talk) 11:16, 2 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]
  • Comment. Do we have anymore info on this piece of text: "During the 1970s Mazhar was heavily involved with building the cricketing structure of the new country of Bangladesh"? StickyWicket (talk) 12:05, 2 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]

  • Keep I believe the reference confers notability, and he passes notability criteria for cricket.--Ortizesp (talk) 16:03, 4 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]
@Ortizesp: Meeting WP:NCRIC is not enough. Whether or not the subject passes NCRIC becomes moot when notability is challenged. There is nothing significant in coverage about the cricketer. There are many informative content in the article but none is supported by independent and reliable sources. There are only one source in the article which is even of a stats website. There might be any sources that the page creator may found, but he/she has to cite those. The article says that the player was selected to play for different clubs in different times. But which sources shows his selection or call to different teams. SNGs serve as shortcuts to determine which subjects are likely to pass GNG, but once challenged, sources have to show that GNG actually is met.  A.A Prinon  Conversation 10:16, 6 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]
