Subject not notable. Article sounds somewhat like an advertisement. Graymornings (talk) 11:14, 7 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]
- Maria Treben is one of the most famous natural medicine healers of the Twnetieth century. She has helped thousands of people with her personal advice and with the books she has written. She is known throughout the world and is a regular reference for anybody seeking an alternative health solution to their condition. —Preceding unsigned comment added by PhilippeGenlain (talk • contribs) 11:19, 7 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

- She has sold over 8 million copies of her book in 24 languages. (Do you know that a best seller usually only sells a few thousand copies!!) Here's the ISBN for her book: ISBN 13: 978-3-85068-124-7[1] Please take into account that if 8 million people have spent money on buying her book then millions more people would expect to have a referece for her in Wikipedia. —Preceding unsigned comment added by PhilippeGenlain (talk • contribs) 11:34, 7 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Delete- per Graymornings. The article needs other sources, not a self-published one. Dekisugi (talk) 11:39, 7 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]
- Delete - no independent reliable sources to establish notability. Now where's that Wiki "rule" about articles about people that aren't properly capitalized?--Boffob (talk) 13:05, 7 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]
- keep a google news search seems to find some suitable references. once the article is rewritten based on them it should be fine. Jessi1989 (talk) 13:20, 7 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]
- keepFair enough it is my first contribution to Wikipedia. I specialize in the history of Medicine and especially in the transition period XVIth to XIXth century between traditional and allopathic medicine. I saw that Wikipedia was lacking a lot of information on famous herbalists so wanted to contribute something. This is just a start. I will enhance and update it. How do you change the title?? I have been trawling all editing notes but cannot find how to change Treben to capital T. Thanks. philippe. —Preceding unsigned comment added by PhilippeGenlain (talk • contribs) 14:54, 7 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]
- weak keep The style of writing is a bit awkward.....and it needs more links. But we don't need to delete it. Maybe a cleanup or two would be good.♣PrincessClown♥ 16:10, 7 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

- Articles are usually moved after deletion discussions are over to avoid links failing. - Mgm|(talk) 09:44, 8 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]
- I've moved the article to avoid diverting the debate over this point. The redirect should hopefully fix the links problem. Espresso Addict (talk) 09:11, 9 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]
- Keep per availability of reliable sources. --Steven Fruitsmaak (Reply) 20:07, 8 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]
- Comment You can change the article's title by moving the page (click move link at top of article), but you should wait until this AfD discussion is complete so links aren't stuffed up. - Allied45 (talk) 02:00, 9 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]
- Weak Keep the books are probably sufficient as published works, along with the article about her. It would be good to try to find a contemporary book review or two; I think that would settle the matter. DGG (talk) 05:46, 9 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]
