List of populated places in Japan

A list based on some unclear criteria; it's much shorter than List of cities in Japan and does not comprises even a third of the settlements listed in that list. XXN, 19:45, 16 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Strong Delete - It is a completely unnecessary Fork of List of cities in Japan. In fact, it is literally nothing more than a copy/paste of the first portion of the List of Cities in Japan as it existed in 2011, when this article was created. 64.183.45.226 (talk) 23:13, 16 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Comment - based on the title, it appears to me that the creator's intent was to have a single list containing all of the municipalities within Japan. Currently the municipalities are spread over four different lists at (1) List of cities in Japan, (2) List of towns in Japan, (3) Special wards of Tokyo#List of special wards and (4) List of villages in Japan. Having a single list would match the contents of ja:日本の地方公共団体一覧 on the Japanese Wikipedia. However, the creator of this page walked away from it after doing about 2% of the work. Given this situation, I would like to ask the nominator and the other people who have already voted above (XXN, 64.183.45.226 and Ajf773) to consider whether a single list would be beneficial, or is the current situation spread over four separate pages sufficient? If such a list would serve a purpose, this page could be moved to Draft:List of municipalities in Japan so that it could be completed. AtHomeIn神戸 (talk) 05:31, 21 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Delete - The town, city, village lists are all we need, I so no reason why we'd also need a list of all of them combined. In other words, I agree it's a CFORK.
