The result was Redirect, but needs to be done manually?. Per the transclusions, it does not appear that a script close will achieve this. However the consensus is not to keep the text as a standalone nor is there a consensus to delete and not redirect. It appears this can be done editorially, but if not, please ping me. Article is better maintained within Dead Sea Scrolls. Lot of duplicated information in each of these series ~ 🦝 Shushugah (he/him • talk) 12:24, 27 September 2023 (UTC)
- That's because List of manuscripts from Qumran Cave 2 (and the other articles in that series) are transcluded in Dead Sea Scrolls. I made the same mistake recently: Talk:Dead Sea Scrolls#Cave 11 tables broken. – Joe (talk) 12:38, 27 September 2023 (UTC)
- Note: This discussion has been included in the deletion sorting lists for the following topics: Lists, Israel, and Palestine. Shellwood (talk) 12:55, 27 September 2023 (UTC)
- Keep Deleting this will remove the information from both. A discussion might be had as to whether this is the best way to do things, but not here. Johnbod (talk) 15:25, 27 September 2023 (UTC)
- @Johnbod I checked the sourcing of List of manuscripts from Qumran Cave 2 they're 100% enclosed within the Dead Sea Scrolls. Merge is a possible conclusion at AfD, I am not opposed but I'm puzzled what there is to merge/preserve. ~ 🦝 Shushugah (he/him • talk) 16:53, 27 September 2023 (UTC)
- Delete The same tables are at List of the Dead Sea Scrolls, where they aren't transcluded. I don't see why pages like this and List of manuscripts from Qumran Cave 4, etc. are necessary – these appear duplicative, which can potentially result in bad discrepancies between the pages. If needed, the main article could transclude from that main list. Reywas92Talk 17:50, 27 September 2023 (UTC)

- Redirect to List of the Dead Sea Scrolls#Qumran Cave 2, into which the contents of this article were recently substed following this discussion. It's unclear how many of the 155 incoming links are from Template:Dead Sea Scrolls versus from links in prose, and redirecting will preserve the article history.I would have weakly preferred all the articles remain standalone and transcluded into the main list, but no sense undoing all that work now. The other articles in this series that have been substed into List of the Dead Sea Scrolls over the past two weeks should likewise be redirected to the main article before discrepancies can arise. - *Redir to List of the Dead Sea Scrolls#Qumran Cave 2 - Sadly, I agree with Folly Mox and it would have been better as stand-alone lists transcluded into the master list, but that ship has sailed and already hit the iceberg. Cheers, Last1in (talk) 17:09, 5 October 2023 (UTC)

Relisting comment: Relisting, I think this page is trancluded to List of the Dead Sea Scrolls#Qumran Cave 2 and I don't want to mess up that article. Can someone check this? It could be that the content was copied and pasted which means that a Redirect won't affect that article.
Please add new comments below this notice. Thanks, Liz Read! Talk! 01:08, 12 October 2023 (UTC)- Liz, the article text has been copypasted and no longer transcludes to that article, but in doing a thorough check I noticed that it does still transclude to List of Hebrew Bible manuscripts#Qumrun Cave 2. I guess maybe if this series of articles is all redirected to their subsection at List of the Dead Sea Scrolls, we'll have to retransclude the sections back outwards to List of Hebrew Bible manuscripts and any other necessary spots. This can be implemented with labeled section transclusion. Folly Mox (talk) 16:59, 12 October 2023 (UTC)
- Redirect to List of the Dead Sea Scrolls#Qumran Cave 2. Lorstaking (talk) 05:46, 19 October 2023 (UTC)
