Keep - Soundtrack (film songs') albums are different from studio albums. You gi through the list, most of the best selling albums are from India, not USA. Only very few of the albums from List of best-selling albums are soundtrack. So, these two are related, but not the same. Comment - only the top four soundtrack albums have sold 20-30m copies, the lowest box on the list of best-selling albums. If the wider list is extended to accommodate the rest of the soundtracks, it might have to include unmanageably many other albums too. Mortee (talk) 22:43, 6 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]
- I'm not proposing to change the criteria for inclusion on the List of Best Selling Albums, which is currently "the figure must have been published by a reliable source and the album must have sold at least 20 million copies worldwide.", merely add the soundtracks that meet that criteria to the page. Delete as content fork. We don't have list of best-selling albums by genre unless it is put out officially by RIAA or other charting sources as with List of best-selling Christmas albums in the United States List of best-selling Latin albums in the United States List of best-selling albums in the United States. Compare to Talk:K-pop#RfC:_.22Is_a_most_viewed_list_from_several_sources_acceptable.3F.22 discussion which dealt with the content fork of YouTube videos by genre.
