I propose merging this article with sertraline, or deleting it. I don't think there needs to be a separate article specifically for the adverse effects of any drug. RockstoneSend me a message! 03:33, 27 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]

  • Delete Any good drug article has a list of common side effects, not every one known to exist. This is not needed. Oaktree b (talk) 03:42, 27 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete or Redirect — oppose merge This is the sort of stuff that's on a package insert. Not useful on its own. The main article on sertraline is the proper place to put its side effects in context, and already does a good job of it. -- rsjaffe 🗩 🖉 04:00, 27 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]
  • Redirect the existing content at Sertraline#Side effects already provides more than enough detail - none of the content here should be kept. However, this is potentially plausible enough as a title to keep as a redirect - and it has existed for 8 years so it is possible there are external links. • Is there any reason I couldn't be bold and do it myself? -- RockstoneSend me a message! 04:53, 27 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, I think once this AfD exists it's improper to redirect it until this discussion resolves. AfDs havea prescribed end date, and aren't kept open indefinitely so it will eventually be resolved. And there is a pretty clear consensus establishing so I wouldn't be too worried. Wikipedia's job is never done, no reason to move hastily :) — Shibbolethink ( ) 16:30, 28 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]

  • Merge and redirect. I agree that it's clumsy to keep this as a standalone list page, but the pagename is fine to keep as a redirect to the section at Sertraline#Side effects. It may not be optimal to merge all of it, but the editorial decision about which parts to merge or not merge is a discussion separate from AfD. --Tryptofish (talk) 18:48, 27 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]
the editorial decision about which parts to merge or not merge is a discussion separate from AfD. while I agree with this in principle, @Tryptofish, wouldn't that only be true if this discussion agreed there actually is anything worth keeping? — Shibbolethink ( ) 16:30, 28 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]
My thinking is that it would be worth taking a close look at that, which is a discussion for somewhere else, and there's no urgency about deleting the existing content. --Tryptofish (talk) 16:45, 28 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]
OK, I went ahead and made this edit: [1]. I merged those side effects from the list that are shown as having the greatest incidence, and that were not already on the page. If anyone else wants to add any of the lesser incidence effects, by all means do so. But for me personally, that's enough of a merge to make me feel alright about blanking and redirecting the list page. I hope that makes the consensus here easier. --Tryptofish (talk) 18:04, 28 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]
    I agree with your actions. rsjaffe 🗩 🖉 19:15, 28 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]
  • Redirect. Agree with @ on this one. The drug page's specific section has more than enough detail, and I don't see much if anything in this article that merits merging. If there are external or internal links to this page, they should not be disrupted. So I would redirect to the specific section on the main drug page. — Shibbolethink ( ) 16:29, 28 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]
  • Redirect per 力. Femke (talk) 19:28, 1 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]
