List of Nintendo characters[edit]
Deprod by serial de-proder Kappa without explanation. Absurdly long piece of list/fan-cruft. No rhyme or reason to what gets included and what doesn't. I can't think of any way this list can be fixed. I'm not sure how article survived this long (> 2 years). Irongargoyle 22:33, 20 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]
- Keep, doesn't seem to be an arbitrary list and the fact that it's been around for several hundred edits indicates to me that a lot of people consider this to be an encyclopedia-worthy topic. JYolkowski // talk 22:41, 20 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]
- Covert to Category: A category listing would seem to suffice for this list as each character page in the category probably mentions what Nintendo games they have been in. --Mitaphane talk 23:23, 20 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

- Keep, the list obviously has information that would not be convienent in a category. It's a broad, though finite, list, like one of the List of books or Lists of people. Night Gyr (talk/Oy) 00:28, 21 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]
- Keep A category won't do as a lot fo these are minor characters that shouldn't have an article. WP:Fict suggests creating lists for minor characters. Ace of Sevens 03:09, 21 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]
- keep maintainable and important. — brighterorange (talk) 03:19, 21 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]
- Keep Definitely worth keeping. Also, a list of minor characters as Ace of Sevens said, would also be a good idea. Havok (T/C/c) 06:17, 21 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]
- Keep Usually I say to delete lists, but this one is maintainable and meaningful to enough people. Wryspy 07:09, 21 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]
- Keep, this is both maintainable and informative. Not really fancruft, since it's a well-selected article that summarises Nintendo's huge and intertwined gaming series'. Worth keeping, methinks. RandyWang (chat/patch) 12:25, 21 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]
- Keep- per nom.--Peephole 13:13, 21 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]
- Keep - I think this list is a great and useful reference for me as well as many other people. Why delete it? It's just the same as any other list, and is by no means "fancruft". There are a lot of Nintendo characters, yes, but that doesn't mean that we should get rid of it... Kitsunetsuki 16:21, 22 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]
- Withdraw Nom and Speedy Keep I still disagree that this should be kept, but I think a major overhaul into a list of lists (i.e. List of lists of books or Lists of people per Night Gyr) would be another option. Irongargoyle 21:02, 22 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

- Keep. Since the nominator has withdrawn his nomination, can this be closed now? TJ Spyke 22:05, 24 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]
