Procedural nomination for which I'm neutral. This article is caught up in the Kashmorwiki situation, but just survived AfD and multiple established editors feel it should both be deleted and kept, so here for discussion. StarM 16:48, 11 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]

  • Keep while the article was mostly edited by an editor who was apparently evading a block (see User_talk:Kashmorwiki#Blocked_as_a_sockpuppet and ANI), a number of established editors put in time and research at the prior AfD to add sourcing. (Disclosure, I also voted Keep there). I think the sourcing is there in English and Malayam to indicate the elephant is notable. I don't know if it's really worth scrapping this entirely due to Kashmorwiki involvement, although if there's a Malayam-speaking editor willing to re-write it, that would help. @Star Mississippi:This article has been created by the sockpuppet User:Kashmorwiki and the article does not have any substantial contributions by other users... please check the edit history of the article (Perthirvin (talk) 17:08, 11 May 2021 (UTC)) Blocked sock. • Keep Notability was established in the previous AfD, so it's therefore a valid article. It would seem to go against the first pillar of WP (Wikipedia is an encyclopedia) to delete it because of the creator's transgressions. --John B123 (talk) 17:13, 11 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete I don't see any coverage apart from random local and routine coverage that does not fulfil the requirement of WP:GNG. Abhishek0831996 (talk) 17:13, 11 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]
@Star Mississippi:The article Kongad Kuttisankaran has only been edited by a user:JohnB123 (excluding all the edits regarding the deletion tag) who had only a minor edit... kindly go through the edit history... @Perthirvin:, You've said that in multiple places and at multiple times in this thread. Acknowledged. I also made that note in my !vote and my nomination so I'm aware of your concerns. StarM 17:29, 11 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]
@Abhishek0831996:, Here the article is clearly eligible for deletion by CDS G:5(Perthirvin (talk) 17:20, 11 May 2021 (UTC))[reply]

So where is this discussion going??? What will be the final decision.... I'm new to deletion discussions..(Perthirvin (talk) 18:18, 11 May 2021 (UTC)) Blocked sock. StarM 18:43, 11 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]

The discussion is here and will run at least a week. You do not need to respond to every !vote as we're aware of your opinion. StarM 18:27, 11 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]
  • Keep: The article is about one of a notable elephant in Kerala with cultural significance. Some sources alone itself gives significant coverage to this elephant, making it pass GNG criteria. The creator being a sock does not mean we should delete well sourced articles created by him. Quality articles are always an asset to Wikipedia. • Keep: sufficient notability was established in the previous AfD CommanderWaterford (talk) 16:56, 12 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]
  • Keep: per prior AfD. I understand the procedural nomination. I see no reason to throw the baby out with the bathwater FiddleTimtrent FaddleTalk to me 18:40, 12 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]
  • Keep per prior. Usually wouldn't bother to !vote on something with such overwhelming support already, but I'm amused by the idea of a sock badgering people about G5. Vaticidalprophet 04:36, 13 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]
  • Keep same thought as Vaticidalprohet :-) like one sock angry at another sock :D VV 13:53, 13 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]
  • Keep - I can't see how deletion of this topic improves the encyclopedia. It meets GNG, and is of some considerable significance to a culture. Nom should be thanked for two things: 1) For doing the right thing procedurally 2) providing sock entertainment. 78.26 (spin me / revolutions) 15:07, 13 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]
  • Keep Meets GNG. As amusing as the sock trying to erase all of a sock's contributions, even clearly notable ones, is, it makes no valid argument whatsoever for deletion. Jackattack1597 (talk) 23:56, 13 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]
