I haven't really found anything, apart from the old sources already cited in the article (the Globe and Mail piece now sporting a notice that it may not be correct nowadays), that isn't regurgitated press releases or direct quotations of the company founder. Several of the sources in the article turn out to be just sentences with lists of businesses that exist in part because of Airbnb, which is why, when that sentence is inverted, they support so little here.
