The result was keep. The deletion arguments do not seem to be based on wp:deletion policy. Proposing a wp:merger is more appropriate here. (non-admin closure) ~ Aseleste (t, e | c, l) 03:05, 24 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Officially there was no political party called Kerala Congress (Thomas), Mr.Thomas just revived orginal kerala congress in 2010.There is spearate wikipage for the orginal kerala congress and users are mostly contributing to that page. so this page is unnecessary and may create some confusions, if both pages exist. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Vasucrossroads (talkcontribs) 15:40, April 15, 2021 (UTC)

  • Comment Completing nomination as a courtesy to the editor who tagged the article. Nominator originally tagged the article for speedy deletion with the above as a rationale, which was obviously not a valid CSD reason, and therefore declined, after which they AfD-tagged the article but did not follow up. Above text seemed to me to be close enough to a valid AfD nomination statement that I went ahead and took it as such. I have no opinion of my own on the article at this time. @Vasucrossroads: For future nominations, please take care to fully follow the instructions at WP:AFDHOWTO. Thank you. --Finngall talk 21:35, 16 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

  • Keep: The nominator Vasucrossroads is actually wrong here. This was actually a registered political party, which was an ally of NDA. See proof here[1] which says The Kerala Congress Joseph faction, which was desperate to get a common symbol, decided to merge with P C Thomas’ Kerala Congress which is a registered party. Its true that this party does not exist anymore as it now merged with Joseph's faction of Kerala Congress. But we cannot delete an article about a political party just because it is no more active. Instead we should update the article appropriately to avoid confusion. Regards. Kichu🐘 Need any help? 03:58, 19 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

  • Merge or Delete:when pc Thomas contest from Kottayam in 2019, the party name was kerala Congress as per candidate list made by election commission, and list was put in front of polling station.my self from Kottayam, any way after merging with Joseph nobody is maintaining this page ,if anybody has objection on deletion .I suggest merge this page with Kerala Congress page. Because contributions are happening on this page after merging with Joseph. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Shantanuu96 (talkcontribs) 2021-04-20T19:53:52 (UTC)
