The result was delete. The consensus is that the subject fails WP:BIO. Whether or not the event is notable I'm not sure about. Therefore, if someone wants to turn this article into one about the event, then I'll be glad to userfy this under the title Haigler bus shooting. Article about a non-notable criminal. No evidence of notability beyond standard news cycle that covered it, per WP:NOTNEWS and WP:BIO I see no reason to keep this one around based on what is here and what I can find in Google. Jayron32 03:55, 22 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]
- Weak Keep - Based on this claim in the article, Today the event is used in law enforcement training about the dangers of wounding armed suspects, instead of shooting to kill. If someone can establish that the incident is notable from a police training viewpoint, I feel it should be kept. Though, we might want to move it to Haigler bus shooting or something of the ilk. - Comment They use the incident to train police that if they do not shoot to kill a crazy armed couple, the two might die by murder suicide? Edison (talk) 17:18, 22 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

- No article at this title, thanks, and I don't see any evidence that the crime itself is of more than passing tabloid interest. I wonder if there's a crime-wiki to which such things might usefully be sent? Sort of like Memory Alpha but for crimes of no independent significance but that make the front page for a couple of days? Guy (Help!) 13:11, 22 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Delete - fails WP:BIO1E as any notability is derived from his involvement in the hijacking. If any sources can be found that this incident played into the formulation of the concept suicide by cop then that information can be added directly to that article. Are You The Cow Of Pain?
