Unsourced article about a person who fails WP:ANYBIO. Includes a lot of praise. » Shadowowl | talk 21:56, 27 July 2018 (UTC)

- Keep. the subject of a major painting is likely to be notable. Someone needs to look in the appropriate sources, which are likely to be Spanish newspapers of the period. DGG ( talk ) 16:12, 29 July 2018 (UTC)

- Delete, but without prejudice to recreation if sources come to light. A WP:BEFORE check turns up nothing, and the article itself is written almost like a tall tale. The painting itself can be notable, but that doesn't necessarily mean the subject is; it could simply be someone the artist saw do something one day. That being said, if DGG's suggestion that Spanish newspapers from the 1800s can be found, I'm okay with this being recreated. Red Phoenix talk 22:34, 17 August 2018 (UTC)
- Delete And in addition to the previous comment, there is original research ("he became famous..." is not in the source cited) so it fails WP:OR. Doesn't seem to pass notability guidelines entirely, but with more sources it may reveal so. Redditaddict69 08:25, 18 August 2018 (UTC)
