The result was speedy delete. As Binksternet points out, this appears to be a hoax. v/r - TP 19:14, 6 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I don't believe that a child winning "student of the year" from an academic examination body is enough to warrant a full article on Wikipedia. I would argue that this is nothing more than a puff piece and should be deleted. Bob Re-born (talk) 15:00, 6 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]
- Agreed. Delete WP:1E. He's not listed on the award site's webpage. Seems he received a separate award given by his diploma sponsor, Deloitte. --Whoosit (stalk) 15:57, 6 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]
A group of SPAs. Left here for review by the closing admin and anyone else interested, hatted for readability of the AfD.--v/r - TP 19:01, 6 January 2013 (UTC)[reply] |

- NOTE: I just reported this AfD at WP:ANI (link) as I suspect foul play and likely sock puppetry. --Bob Re-born (talk) 17:47, 6 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]
- Delete, the BTEC Award does not appear an award enough significant/well-known to pass WP:ANYBIO. Also fails GNG. Article looks like a vanity piece. Cavarrone (talk) 17:59, 6 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]
- Delete. Regardless whether the BTEC Award is notable, a student named Megan Turner was the awardee in 2012, not Josh Simmons. All that is left are local Cornwall write-ups. Fails WP:ANYBIO and WP:GNG. Out it goes. Binksternet (talk) 19:11, 6 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]
- Delete, falls well below GNG. I see one of the references is titled Being a student ambassador is great for the CV, which I think gives an unintentional hint about the article's purpose. Tigerboy1966 19:14, 6 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]
