The result was delete. However, keep Edward Savage (footballer). Cirt (talk) 20:05, 26 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Contested PROD. Footballer fails WP:ATH as he has not played in a fully-professional league/competition yet. Also fail WP:GNG, as there are no secondary sources about the person. --Jimbo[online] 20:59, 19 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]
I am also nominating the following related pages because they too fail the same criteria:
- Edward Savage (footballer) (edit | talk | history | protect | delete | links | watch | logs | views)
- Dan Fitchett (edit | talk | history | protect | delete | links | watch | logs | views)

- Delete all per nom; because they haven't played in a fully-pro league, they fail WP:ATHLETE. Recreate if/when they become notable. GiantSnowman 08:52, 20 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]
- Comment - not voting, just wanted to say that Savage starred in a soap opera for five years and that should also be taken into account, in case it makes a difference. AnemoneProjectors (talk) 10:32, 20 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]
- Keep Edward Savage - he currently fails WP:ATHLETE but passes WP:ENT due to his appearances in Eastenders and on stage for the Royal National Theatre (source).
Delete the rest - they fail WP:ATHLETE and there's no indication of general notability. These articles can be easily recreated if and when they make their first appearance at a professional level. Bettia (bring on the trumpets!) 11:32, 20 July 2009 (UTC)[reply] - Comment if Savage is kept through passing WP:ENT, should his article be DABed in a different way, say to Edward Savage (actor) (which is already a redirect to the footballer dab) as that's the notability he's being kept by? --Jimbo[online] 11:51, 20 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]
- I think that's something to discuss when this AFD ends, if the article survives. AnemoneProjectors (talk) 11:55, 20 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

- Delete Cobb and Fitchett, per the usual, but speedy keep of Edward Savage without prejudice to an individual Afd nomination. It is not reasonable to put his article in the same nomination when he has a quite separate claim to notability, and, given the title of this discussion, it's quite probable that people reviewing AfD discussions who have an interest in actors but not in footballers will have skipped over this one without noticing that there is an actor involved.
