Fails to meet the general notability guideline. Was elected as mayor of Townsville in 2012 and was a failed candidate in an earlier election but there doesn't seem to be much else about her that I could find. She's just one Jenny Hill among many. AussieLegend (✉) 15:53, 6 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]
- Keep As mayor of a regionally important city of nearly 200,000 people, I believe that she meets WP:POLITICIAN. Searching Google News Archives wiith terms: "Jenny Hill" Townsville shows plenty of coverage in reliable sources. Here's a detailed profile of her in a reliable, independent source with plenty of biographical information. Cullen328 Let's discuss it 16:12, 6 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]
- Just to clarify, she's actually the mayor of only the Townsville local government area, which has a population of 174,462.[1] --AussieLegend (✉) 01:16, 7 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]
- Thanks for the clarification. Personally, I consider the mayor of any city of over 100,000 people to be notable enough for a Wikipedia article, and in some circumstances have supported keeping biographies of mayors of smaller cities. My understanding is that Townsville is the one of the largest, probably the second largest city in Queensland. So, regional importance is a factor as well. - Keep It appears to me that she meets the requirements outlined above and having recently been elected, she will probably become more notable.Jab843 (talk) 17:54, 6 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]

- Keep. Mayor of reasonably major city, long-time high-profile figure - I live at the other end of the country and have known who she was for years. There's enough sources on her to take it to FA if someone had the time. The Drover's Wife (talk) 15:00, 8 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]
