- Speedy keep Has an entry in the Dictionary of New Zealand Biography and dozens of AfDs have all shown that this signifies notability. Note that a 'Before' on 19th century New Zealanders must include a search on PapersPast, which Google does not index.Schwede66 18:22, 7 April 2023 (UTC)
- Keep. Mine is a very firm "keep" recommendation. As noted by Schwede66 above, the subject has an entry in the Dictionary of New Zealand Biography (which is a "country's standard national biographical dictionary" as expected by WP:ANYBIO). Subject is also covered in several books about the period/region. Some of which I've added to the article. Others of which are readily available. Guliolopez (talk) 18:46, 7 April 2023 (UTC)
- Keep - per entry in the Dictionary of New Zealand Biography. Spleodrach (talk) 10:38, 8 April 2023 (UTC)
- Speedy keep there is nothing to debate as he has an entry in the Dictionary of New Zealand Biography and that is deemed to be sufficient to attain notability under the New Zealand Project and in various past discussions and AfD's NealeWellington (talk) 09:46, 10 April 2023 (UTC)
- Keep. A DNZB entry is usually considered notable enough. Grutness...wha? 11:34, 10 April 2023 (UTC)
