A one sentence stub about a very small minority religion on a rock in Indian Ocean. The material is covered and better placed elsewhere, such as Christmas Island#Demographics or the articles linked in the templates, not least since there is little or no significant information that could be added to it. - Delete Per nom. These were mass cookie cutter stubs, several of which have already been deleted (eg Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Islam in the Pitcairn Islands) Orderinchaos 15:53, 14 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]
- Comment for a start the CIA Fact book as the raison detre of an article is a very very unfortunate and sad sign of no understanding what a wikiedia stub is at all about; secondly it looks like non english speakers composition in title and terminology - the subject itself is in fact valid one - and there are indeed issues about malay/indonesian moslems on cocos and christmas which need some mention some where - and http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Cocos_(Keeling)_Islands&action=edit§ion=8 has no citation or reference either - the presence of practising moslems - regardless, on (not in) need something to discuss their presence
- i was once a tutor to an australian medical student who was stationed on cocos who never forgot the call to prayer after having lived on the islandSatuSuro 17:45, 14 October 2009 (UTC)[reply] - Delete per above comments SatuSuro 19:33, 14 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

- Delete or Merge into Christmas Island. Small island with a small population. Its Muslim population must be tiny. This subject has almost no potential to grow into something bigger; any information on the topic belongs in the parent page. Digestible (talk) 10:59, 16 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Mergethe factoid, along with the citation, to Christmas Island, and delete the redirect as an unlikely search term. Note, however, that the cited source says that the percentage of Muslims is 25%, not 7% as this article states. Deor (talk) 17:16, 16 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]
- I now see that the "Demographics" section of Christmas Island already contains religion information (though it's unsourced and the percentages don't agree at all with those given on the CIA Factbook page). Changing my opinion to delete with regard to this article. Deor (talk) 17:23, 16 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]
- Delete This is apparently supposed to be interesting trivia. Maybe they were hoping to be featured on the "Did you know...?" section on the main page. "Did you know that 7 percent of the people on Christmas Island are Moslem?" Now, tell me how many live in Corpus Christi, or on Easter Island, or in El Salvador... no, don't. Mandsford (talk) 17:27, 16 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]
- Comment Corpus Christi is a municipal rather than regional political division. Apples and Oranges. Doc Quintana (talk) 02:30, 19 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]
- Delete - although all the redlinks at Outline_of_Christmas_Island are kind of an invitation to create this kind of thing. If I wasn't a mature and responsible editor, I'd give in to the temptation to create the redlinked-from-the-outline-page Glaciers_of_Christmas_Island with the text 'none'. 69.128.47.243 (talk) 18:22, 16 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]
- Delete per nom, though I must say that the idea of Muslims on an island named "Christmas" is interesting. --JohnnyB256 (talk) 19:21, 16 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]
- Delete per nom. There's no need for this trivia to be a separate article, given that it's covered in 4 words in the article. Bfigura (talk) 21:47, 16 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]
- Delete Unless there is something unusual about the demographics or if there a famous mosque on the island, then the nominator is correct. Warrah (talk) 03:41, 17 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]
- Retain Merge into Christmas Island demographics along with template. Doc Quintana (talk) 02:30, 19 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]
- Merge into Islam in Australia as Christmas Island is a dependency of Australia. Donama (talk) 05:53, 21 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]
