Page is an announcement of an upcoming congress of the International Stereoscopic Union. I PRODed page on 15 August with the comment, "Page is an announcement/advertisement of an upcoming conference. There are no third-party references, virtually no encyclopedic content, and no clear indication of notability. Wikipedia is not a host for general announcements." PROD was contested by User:Dutch3DMaster with comment, "making it more informative and less commercial (since it is not a profit making event)". Regardless of profit/non-profit status, this page is an announcement; it has essentially no encyclopedic content. Perhaps the event could be mentioned at International Stereoscopic Union, but it does not need its own page. Cnilep (talk) 14:47, 24 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

- Delete The only encyclopaedic information in this article is the section that duplicates the International Stereoscopic Union article, and (arguably) that the conference exists and will be held in The Netherlands in 2001 - which is already mentioned in the ISU article. If it hadn't been for the failed prod I'd have tagged this for speedy deletion per WP:CSD#G11 unambiguous promotion. Thryduulf (talk) 16:32, 24 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]
- Comment User:SoWhy has "remove[d all grounds for "spam, delete!"-!votes,"] from the article.[1] however as what is left is just a promotional stub for a non-notable event, that duplicates information already in the main ISU article, my delete !vote stands. - Delete future conference. The world is not holding its breath for this one. Abductive (reasoning) 10:26, 25 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]
- Delete and do-over. What a mess, best to restart with a one sentence a 2011 conference is planned ... in the main article. -- Banjeboi 10:40, 25 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]
- Delete possibly by speedy G11 as obvious promotion. I doubt it will be more notable once held, but there's always a chance. Someone unrealistically decided to put an ARS banner on this article. Possible the ISU is rescuable. DGG ( talk ) 05:42, 27 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]
