The result was keep. No arguments for deletion aside from the nominator. The issue of redirecting or merging can be discussed on the article's talk page. (non-admin closure) Ron Ritzman (talk) 00:28, 18 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

notability not asserted. Little content. One reference given is very minor mention. Gwinva (talk) 01:57, 11 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]
- Weak keep. Numerous sources indicate that he was the first person to commercially cultivate cranberries in the United States. However, I'm not sure there is enough to say about him from these sources to justify an article. As a second choice, merge to Cranberry. --Metropolitan90 (talk) 04:14, 11 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]
- Keep. It is a stub article for sure, but being the first to cultivate a crop is notable. I added references including one from the University of Maine. Movementarian (Talk) 10:35, 11 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]
- Keep - There appears to be significant coverage of him in reliable sources. ~~ GB fan ~~ talk 23:21, 11 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

- Redirect to Cranberry. The article reflects the same one or two factoids that are found in all four sources, and the same thing already exists in Cranberry. Location (talk) 08:07, 14 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]
- Keep significant historical gfigure in his field, with adequate sourcing. DGG ( talk ) 03:39, 15 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]
- comment There's enough sourcing to provide one line (ie. that he was the first to cultivate cranberries) but one fact does not make an article, and there appears to be a paucity of information about any other aspect of his life. A merge to Cranberry might be appropriate. It can always be spun out again if sources are found at a later date to write a biography. Gwinva (talk) 04:08, 15 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]
- Merge or redirect per Gwinva. I didn't dig terribly deeply, but every mention of Captain Hall that I could find consisted of a sentence or two about the cultivation of cranberries. A couple sentences isn't enough for an article, but I think he deserves a mention in the cranberry article. Ketsuekigata (talk) 23:05, 15 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]
