Subject doesn't meet WP:GNG. There are two sentences about him in an independent source (Today's Zalman). The coverage is about Ankaferd BloodStopper and any information here is either already covered in that article, or should be merged into it. RexxS (talk) 16:05, 29 September 2014 (UTC)

- Delete this title and redirect it to Ankaferd BloodStopper but as Hüseyin Cahit Fırat as that is the correct name. --Why should I have a User Name? (talk) 17:02, 29 September 2014 (UTC)
- A redirect to Ankaferd BloodStopper is sensible, but remember that many users searching don't have the requisite character set to make use of the redirect you suggest. I note that you've also put forward Hūseyin Cahit Fırat as the correct diacritic use. Any and all of these should be redirects. Redirects are very cheap on resources and are a big help when searching on our site. --RexxS (talk) 17:22, 29 September 2014 (UTC)
- Keep I don't know anything about this subject. But according to the sources which seem reliable, the subject is notable. I also don't think that the article is mergable to Ankaferd BloodStopper; for the article is a biography-article and the later is about a product. Nedim Ardoğa (talk) 12:01, 4 October 2014 (UTC)
- The sources are set out in Talk:Hüseyin Cahit Firat. They are: a newspaper article about ABS which devotes two sentences to Firat; his self-published profile on ResearchGate; the self-published website for ABS; a case study about ABS; an experimental study about ABS; and a letter to a journal about using ABS for GI bleeding. The last three say nothing at all about Firat. How does that amount to "significant coverage in reliable sources that are independent of the subject" for Firat?

- Comment I don't know that much about this subject either, but he does seem to have co-authored a few academic papers here. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Kiwiguy12 (talk • contribs) 12:37, 5 October 2014 (UTC)

"Having published does not, in itself, make an academic notable, no matter how many publications there are. Notability depends on the impact the work has had on the field of study.
