The result was Keep and improve; additional sources have been added since this nomination to illustrate the subject's notability. - DiligentTerrier (and friends)15:17, 1 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]
- Gary Stein (edit | talk | history | protect | delete | links | watch | logs | views) (delete) – (View log)
No secondary sources that would indicate notability per WP:BIO Kevin (talk) 01:19, 23 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]
- Keep and cite good sources — He looks notable, but as said above, the lack of sources make it hard. If it was given some sources, some more info, then I would want it kept. Leonard^Bloom (talk) 02:19, 23 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]
- Weak keep - might have some notability, but doesn't appear to meet any criteria at WP:BIO. Seems to be fair game for a stub. Calvin 1998 (t-c) 21:35, 23 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

- Delete, fails WP:BIO, no indication of notability, lack of available sources. Gary Stein the New Jersey judge might be notable, Gary Stein the radio sales guy/pregame-postgame show host, isn't.--Rtphokie (talk) 02:25, 24 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]
- Weak delete as the listed jobs would certainly make him notable but this needs sourcing to prove both notability and verifiability. I can find the former justice, the deputy administrator for the Ohio Bureau of Employment, a Canadian baseball player, and plenty of other Gary Steins but this common name is deeply hindering my google-fu. - Dravecky (talk) 05:16, 24 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]
- Delete, fails WP:BIO. Not enough notability. Radio jockey is just a job, not proof of inherent notability. Yobmod (talk) 11:07, 24 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]
- I am the creator of the article, and other than the citation issues, I'm not quite clear on why this article should be removed. There are two sources for the article, which I have tried to add to the page, but I'm not sure how to do so correctly. The sources are: http://www.kirkandmark.com/ and http://baltimoregameday.com/. If anyone would like to help add these sources so that the article could stay, that would be great. Here in the Baltimore area, Gary Stein is considered a notable person to sports fans. Why should the article not be kept?
- What you need to do is show how Gary is notable, using the guidelines for notability of biographies at WP:BIO. Essentially, show where reliable independent sources i.e newspapers or magazines have written about Gary, in more than a trivial way. Kevin (talk) 00:56, 26 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]
- I understand what you mean, Kevin. I'm not really sure what to do. Honestly, I'm not really sure if he has been written about in newspapers or magazines. In my opinion, it doesn't even make sense that they would (and in doing so advertise him), because people who listen to Gary's coverage of the game are less likely to read their publications for game coverage. I will see what I can do. But at the same time, if you turn on the radio any morning you will hear him, and many other times too. Maybe the proof just isn't in writing in many places. I'll do my best. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 69.251.43.126 (talk) 04:37, 26 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]
- I'm in South Australia, not sure my radio reaches that far. If he is notable locally, I can't imagine that he has never been written about. Ring his show maybe - he'll surely tell you. Kevin (talk) 04:50, 26 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

- Weak keep I am echoing Calvin 1998's opinion -- I am sure this can be built up. No need to push it to deletion. Ecoleetage (talk) 00:59, 26 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]
