Comment Did he actually play or was he just on the roster? I personally find it very odd that to some editors playing in no games means failing notability, but stepping on the ice for 3 second in a game makes someone magically notable. That being said, I still think its a question worth asking (and finding the answer to) since otherwise he had fairly unremarkable and short minor league career. Delete - Per WP:NSPORT, "the meeting of any of these criteria does not mean that an article must be kept." (emphasis original) If DeGrio did skate during the 1982 World Ice Hockey Championships (which I find absolutely plausible as forwards are rarely kept unused), then he would meet criterion #6 of WP:NHOCKEY. However, WP:GNG must still be met in the long run, and I find nothing else notable about DeGrio's career. There is plenty of precedent to delete articles of people who meet WP:NSPORT but fail to achieve WP:GNG. — Jkudlick ^tc_s 13:18, 21 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]

If Alon Eizenman is allowed to have an article with what little credentials he has, then this guy is easily more qualified. I will admit that finding articles on this player is not the simplest task just because of how long ago he played, though finding NHL articles from the 80s can be difficult enough at times. There is evidence cited in his article that Eizeman skated for Israel (scoring the game-tying goal vs. Australia in the 2014 IIHF World Championship Division II), thus meeting WP:NHOCKEY. WP:OTHERSTUFFEXISTS is not a valid argument; each article is assessed on its own value. If you wish to debate whether Alon Eizenman is notable, this is not the place to do it. Actually this is a more than fair comparison based on the careers of the two players. Also passing WP:NHOCKEY under criterion #6 requires a player to play at the top division championship level as Mr. DeGrio did, not Division II as you claim. The main difference between the two players is that one played in an era where the internet existed, making it easy to find articles where they are mentioned and the other did not. Criterion #6 states "[p]layed on a senior national team (such as at the Olympic Games or World Championship)," but it doesn't specifically state that it has to be the top division of the World Championship. If that is to be required, then it should be explicitly denoted. Keep As said above, meets WP:NHOCKEY by playing in the World Championships. Even if the team was terrible and even if he was terrible (relatively speaking) - you can still be notable without being (relatively) good. RonSigPi (talk) 04:50, 1 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]
