I am not finding any connection to Patrick Garland and Garland J. For Merrick Garland, I am finding instanes of "(Garland, J., dissenting)", etc. I am not sure how likely it would be that someone might look up Garland J - but wouldn't it be Garland, J? –CaroleHenson (talk) 06:56, 17 November 2022 (UTC)

- Keep. I looked up "Garland J" from the reference at Chaigley Farms Ltd v Crawford, Kaye and Grayshire Ltd: 1996, and needed to then find the UK judge rather than Merrick Garland. - BobKilcoyne (talk) 07:08, 17 November 2022 (UTC)
- Delete not a valid dab. There are not multiple people commonly referred to as "Garland J". MB 15:54, 19 November 2022 (UTC)
- Move over Judge Garland, leaving Garland J as a redirect. We have plenty of disambiguation pages by title for judges (Judge Smith (disambiguation), Judge Archer, Judge Newman, etc.). The resulting redirect would be harmless. BD2412 T 19:16, 19 November 2022 (UTC)
- Comment, agree with Move over per BD2412 I agree with the approach by BD2412. –CaroleHenson (talk) 19:55, 19 November 2022 (UTC)
- Keep. There are two judges named Garland. In law, judges are usually referred to by their surname followed by a J. This is the case for both US and UK judges, although with some exceptions. If moved over to Judge Garland, there should be a disambiguation rather than a redirect to AG Garland.Dawkin Verbier (talk) 05:58, 20 November 2022 (UTC)
- Keep but move to Judge Garland as BD2412 suggests. Adumbrativus (talk) 09:59, 20 November 2022 (UTC)
- Also, I added a third entry for Rice Garland from the Louisiana Supreme Court (and apparently they were not yet titled "Justice" back then). Adumbrativus (talk) 10:09, 20 November 2022 (UTC)
- Keep and move to Judge Garland. A worthwhile disambiguation page. MrsSnoozyTurtle 06:50, 24 November 2022 (UTC)
