I prodded this due to being unable to find any sources discussing this location (only a couple mentioning the adjacent "Gamble Hill Drive" and "Gamble Hill Croft"). Another user expressed scepticism towards the completeness of my searching, noting that they found the location on Google Maps. • The best that I can turn up are books on the mining industry (e.g. ISBN 9780118843553) that report that the quarry that you see here in Armley (which was a township and an ecclesiastical parish) was a mine into the Elland flagstone, and a couple of 1960s sources breathlessly announcing modernization programmes that report that it was flattened and built over by (subcontractors to) the Leeds Corporation in the 1960s.
