Keep. As a named distinguished professor he passes WP:PROF, as the author of books with many published reviews (which I just added to the article) he passes WP:AUTHOR, and also as a book author he is not a private-enough person for WP:NPF to allow for removing the whole article. (It could still be used to remove personal information not connected to his claims for notability but I don't see that in our article.) —David Eppstein (talk) 21:10, 2 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Delete there is nothing saying we should have articles on all named chair holders even if they are presumed notable. I think we should defer to the desires for privacy of living people unless they are clearly and without question notable, which Gavin is not.John Pack Lambert (talk) 00:01, 8 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]
