I'm sure the flag looks awesome in real life, but its claim to face was not as the world's largest flag, it was India's largest Indian flag. Already seeming trivial, matters become worse for this particular flag when the record has been surpassed not one, but ten times between 2014 and 2018. Thus, this flag has no lasting importance whatsoever, and was just an insignificant news story, which Wikipedia is not an outlet of. For the same reason, news coverage doesn't amount to notability.
