A semi pro minor hockey league that has yet to actually play. If this does actually commence in the fall then this article can surely be recreated. Case and point: the first nomination of this page is a actually a unrelated and separate but similarly planned league back in 2003 that never materialized. ccwaters (talk) 17:48, 7 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]
- Delete without prejudice against re-creation when the league actually begins operations, per WP:CRYSTAL. Cnilep (talk) 22:37, 7 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]
- Keep - Even if they have yet to play, it is in the works. As more information is provided the article should grow. I do think more than one reference should be included however. Todtanis (talk) 22:54, 7 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]
- Keep: I agree these things are often ephemeral, but a quick spin around Google News [1] already pulls up a number of reliable sources. Whether it passes notability muster or not, it's passed WP:V. Ravenswing 22:59, 7 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]
- Does it stay even if it doesn't materialize? Yeah, its got press (I first learned of this from one of the Philly.com Flyers beat writer blogs), but the only reason why this is getting any more attention that other circuits of the same stature is that its assuming the name of the Slapshot fictional league. ccwaters (talk) 03:01, 8 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]
- We generally have an article on all professional sports leagues...even the ones that don't get off the ground (see All American Football League). At least in the US. Regardless of the original deletion nom, this is a minor league, not a semi-pro league. There are references to the creation of the league, even if it doesn't get off the ground, there are plenty of references to where it would still be notable as a failed professional hockey league. Thus keep. --Smashvilletalk 15:39, 8 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]
- Keep: A tour around google also had examples of articles about lease agreements signed or the process of being signed for this league. It appears to be legit. I'd give it a stay of execution for now. -Pparazorback (talk) 03:23, 8 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]
- Keep: per above statements.--Bhockey10 (talk) 06:09, 8 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]
- Keep and expand. Just because they haven't begun playing doesn't mean an organizational/management structure doesn't exist. There are teams, ownership, league organizers, etc. Even if the league never materializes, there could be enough historical significance to keep it. Me Three (talk to me) 19:46, 8 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]
- Keep. There seems to be enough references out there to show it is notable and verifiable. Patken4 (talk) 13:13, 9 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]
