This was originally tagged for CSD with the rationale "Essay-like and fails WP:NOT" (which I agree with). However, these aren't speedy criterion, so I changed it to a PROD. The author posted a message on the talk page contesting the speedy deletion, but as it was posted after the PROD (with the same rationale), I am assuming he's contesting that too.
