Non notable "curse", only refered to as the "European World Cup champions' curse" in a Reddit post[1], so isn't needed as a redirect either. Redirect at absolute most, although I'm not convinced it even warrants a mention at Sports-related curses. In this case, the phenomenon isn't a run of bad luck or improbability but entirely predictable given the way the European football calendar has historically been structured; the World Cup winners automatically qualifying for the next tournament while every other country spent two years qualifying meant the title holders by definition went into the next tournament on the back of two years playing nothing but meaningless friendlies. ‑ Iridescent 18:41, 17 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]
