Apologies, I mean images. All of them are own work (which is unlikely, then again this might be just a very dedicated UPE) but things like File:Chevalier de la Légion d'honneur letter from French embassy.jpg contain a full letter which is clearly a copyright violation. — Berrely • ^Talk∕_Contribs 17:47, 17 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Comment (question actually) aren't bios about people who have been awarded the highest military award for their country (in this case, the Legion of Honour), as reason to keep? - wolf 03:54, 21 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]

As you know, not since WP:SOLDIER was deprecated. In any event the Chevalier de la Légion d'honneur is the lowest rank and is now available to "American and British veterans who served in either World War on French soil, or during the 1944 campaigns to liberate France" and so is not a basis for notability. Actually, Chevalier de la Légion d'honneur is the highest French order of merit, both military and civil. You can see this on the Légion d'honneur's website (https://www.legiondhonneur.fr/en/page/legion-honor-10-questions/406) Yesitisme.wink. (talk) 15:44, 18 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Although this is the lowest rank of the five classes, surely this should be a page on Wikipedia as he has been through quite a lot in his life and this could be shown and represented through a page. His page shows his time in the Referees Association, Shenley Parish Council and now he has just been awarded the Chevalier de la Légion d'honneur. Surely he should be deserving of a page.
