The result was keep. I don't see a reason to keep this AfD running given that the nominator was blocked for disruptive editing combined with the unanimous consensus to keep. (non-admin closure) LilianaUwU (talk / contributions) 02:41, 11 March 2023 (UTC)

- Keep. Notable as a knight and as a vice-admiral. Listed in a biographical dictionary, Blue Book (1970). I could only find one journal article authored or co-authored by Bradbury, https://www.thelancet.com/journals/lancet/article/PIIS0140-6736(45)90780-X/fulltext Eastmain (talk • contribs) 06:14, 5 March 2023 (UTC)

- Eastmain, Is Who's Who a reliable source? Don't they offer to put anyone on their list if they're willing to pay a fee? — Jacona (talk) 22:16, 10 March 2023 (UTC)

- Keep KBE and Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons. Mccapra (talk) 06:34, 5 March 2023 (UTC)
- Comment / Query Currently not very convinced by the arguments presented so far. For example, being an admiral is not an automated notability pass (Even the old notability essay WP:NSOLDIER is explicitly deprecated) and Who's Who is considered generally unreliable. @Eastmain:, is "Blue book" a standard national biography of the same type/caliber as Dictionary of National Biography, i.e. does it in your view fit WP:ANYBIO#3? @Mccapra:, do you reckon that
Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons
meets WP:NPROF#3 or WP:ANYBIO#1? -Ljleppan (talk) 09:28, 5 March 2023 (UTC)- I haven't looked into the fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons, because a KBE certainly passes WP:ANYBIO. Phil Bridger (talk) 11:04, 5 March 2023 (UTC)
- Thanks for the clarification, this makes it a rather clear keep for me based on the KBE, even if the other aspects are more red herrings. Ljleppan (talk) 15:34, 6 March 2023 (UTC)

- Keep Passes WP:ANYBIO having "received a well-known and significant award or honour", ie KBE and FRCS; also held senior role in the Royal Navy, ie Medical Director-General of the Navy Piecesofuk (talk) 17:47, 5 March 2023 (UTC)
- Keep KBE satisfies WP:ANYBIO. Mztourist (talk) 10:42, 6 March 2023 (UTC)
- Keep. KBE very obviously satisfies WP:ANYBIO #1. Very odd first edit from anybody. -- Necrothesp (talk) 15:25, 6 March 2023 (UTC)

- Keep Seems to pass WP:GNG. Sufficient material for a useful article. Hawkeye7 (discuss) 23:27, 7 March 2023 (UTC)

- Keep. Straightforward case of WP:ANYBIO and clearly satisfies WP:GNG. Nominator has been blocked as WP:NOTHERE. Shawn Teller (talk) 02:37, 11 March 2023 (UTC)
