The result was Redirect to Transfer (football). Eluchil404 (talk) 04:16, 22 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]
- English Football Transfers (edit | talk | history | protect | delete | links | watch | logs | views) (delete) – (View log)
These are already chronicled season-by-season at individual pages such as List of English football transfers Summer 2008. A parent article could be created I guess - although I don't know how good one could be - but this current format is entirely POV-ish, as it doesn't list all transfers or give any reason for why those listed have been chose. The transfers through history are already linked by category (Category:Football transfers summer 2007/Category:Football transfers summer 2008) and template ({{2008-09 in English football}}). - Redirect to Transfer (football) - at the moment it's just a random collection of specially selected transfers, with little real point. Any information which could go into an article on football transfers in England is covered in the umbrella article. – Toon(talk) 21:50, 17 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]
- Use as disambiguation page It's a legitimate search term, so I'm against deleting, but the page is useless nonsense. Linking to List of English football transfers 2006-07 and so on would eventually lead to the reader finding the page they want. BeL1EveR (talk) 04:18, 18 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

- Article seems to consist solely of "teams" chosen by the article's creator from amongst those players transferred in a given year (although in only one case could he bothered to actually come up with 11 players to form said "team"). Certainly fails WP:NOR and probably several other policies, including WP:JUSTPLAINPOINTLESS :-) However given the slight plausibility of the search term, I'm going to go with redirect to Transfer (football) -- ChrisTheDude (talk) 07:13, 18 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]
- Redirect to Transfer (football) per ChrisTheDude. – PeeJay 07:33, 18 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]
- Use as Disambiguation page - I agree with BeL1EveR on this one; although the 'transfers in year x' articles are already linked from the relevant season page, converting this to a list of direct links could be a useful reference point. Bettia (rawr CRUSH!) 08:52, 18 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]
- Comment - I do not believe that the page English Football Transfers is appropriate as a disambiguation page, not least because of WP:CAPS. It may be appropriate as a redirect to a disambiguation page located at English football transfers, but not as a disambiguation page itself. – PeeJay 17:03, 18 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]
- Redirect as per above. GiantSnowman 17:27, 18 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]
