Elevation Capital[edit]

Elevation Capital (edit | talk | history | protect | delete | links | watch | logs | views) – (View log)
(Find sources: Google (books · news · scholar · free images · WP refs· FENS · JSTOR · TWL)

One of several companies by its current name. Minimal coverage outside routine reportage of business transactions. Appears to fail WP:GNG. FalconK (talk) 06:36, 3 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]

I am also nominating the following related page, which is now a redirect to Elevation Capital but once had has information about an equally non-notable related company and which shares a complex "edit history" with that company: (deletions and insertions by davidwr/(talk)/(contribs) 🎄 at 01:09, 4 January 2021 (UTC))[reply]

  • This is complex see
SAIF Partners (edit | talk | history | protect | delete | links | watch | logs | views) (SAIF Partners is a redirect with history)
If Elevation Capital is "deleted" then its edits up through this edit of 04:11, 25 November 2020 will need to be history-merged into SAIF Partners, OR both will need to be deleted. See both pages' edit histories and move/create/delete logs as well as their talk pages for details. I've updated the redirect at SAIF Partners accordingly and pointed back to this AFD in the edit summary of that edit.[1]
Falcon Kirtaran do you want to handle this one at a time, or do you want to formally add this to the AFD and restart the clock? davidwr/(talk)/(contribs) 🎄 16:07, 3 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]
  • Deferring until decision on how/when to handle SAIF Partners is made. davidwr/(talk)/(contribs) 🎄 16:09, 3 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]
    • This seems like a pretty easy choice. The page that used to be at SAIF Partners pre-redirect had the same non-notable company issue, where all coverage is either the company's own site or routine business announcements. We can add it to the nomination and add a day to the clock, though mechanically I'm not quite sure how to reset the timer. There's this weird trend to have an article for every VC firm despite most of them having no independent notability; they're primarily transactional vehicles and history is made by the companies in which they invest. FalconK (talk) 00:48, 4 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete both per lack of evidence of "significant coverage from independent, reliable sources." davidwr/(talk)/(contribs) 🎄 01:01, 4 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]
  • Comment I've turned the redirect at SAIF Partners back into an article so it can be the proper subject of an AFD. I've modified the information near the top of this AFD accordingly. I've also asked for help with "deletion sorting" at Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Deletion sorting#Help with 2-article AFD sorting. davidwr/(talk)/(contribs) 🎄 01:15, 4 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]
  • Information While this is not directly related to this AFD as draft articles are not subject to AFD, it may be related to future deletion discussions related to articles about these two companies: There are draft articles created by one of the major contributors to one of these pages at Draft:SAIF Partners India and Draft:Elevation Capital (a redirect with history). davidwr/(talk)/(contribs) 🎄 01:22, 4 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete: appears to fail WP:NCORP. All of the coverage I find is routine business transactions and press releases. ~RAM (talk) 07:08, 4 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete- I agree that this subject doesn't meet NCORP. Reyk YO! 11:09, 16 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]
