The result was delete. There was a potential development towards the end of the discussion; while I considered relisting to allow this to be evaluated, I feel sufficient consensus has formed to close this as delete. This decision made with no prejudice towards recreation/restoration if it's confirmed that the Kosovan league is indeed fully professional. –Juliancolton | Talk 00:44, 30 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Not yet played at a fully professional level for a major club. I feel he fails both WP:ATHLETE and WP:NOTE Trevor Marron (talk) 00:44, 16 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

- Keep Played some years in the Football Superleague of Kosovo, signed to Villarreal CF, a club in the Spanish Primera División. Season 2009/10 begins in around 5 weeks. Is in the squad of the Kosovo national football team. --Ilion2 (talk) 08:08, 18 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

- Delete per nom; hasn't played in a fully-pro league so fails WP:ATHLETE. No other claim to fame either. GiantSnowman 09:54, 21 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]
- Delete I'm sure he's a real player but he can't have a page until he makes an appearance. Even if he was in Kosovo's squad this wouldn't make him notable since they aren't recognised by FIFA. Spiderone (talk) 12:34, 21 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

- Delete fails notability for sportspeople at WP:ATHLETE due to him not having played in a fully-professional league and playing "internationally" for a team in the NF-Board made up of de-facto states, races/origins of people and territories and islands passes either. Also fails WP:GNG due to a lack of third-party sources, beyond the odd trivial mention. --Jimbo[online] 08:12, 23 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]
- Delete Kosovo national team is not officially recognized by either UEFA or FIFA (and, imho, will hardly get recognized in the next future). League appearances in Kosovo are irrelevant, since the league is not fully professional. Therefore the subject fails WP:ATHLETE. --Angelo (talk) 11:06, 24 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]
- Delete No evidence that the subject has played in a fully professional league per WP:Athlete. Plainly does not meet WP:N. --Malcolmxl5 (talk) 19:58, 25 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]
- Delete Not yet a fully-pro footballer, can be recreate after he made his La Liga debut. Matthew_hk tc 22:16, 25 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]
- Comment. According to this forum post, the Kosovan league is fully professional. I don't know if there's anything more concrete out there, but if this is true it'll certainly have a bearing on this AfD. I'll see what I can find before casting a !vote.
