I'm not finding anything that shows this is a current network or will be one. The network's press release says the network will be available "via the MYTV platform". As a DirecTV customer, I can confirm that DirecTV does not have a programming package called "MYTV", nor a "platform" called "MYTV". The press release, the network's website and responses on the station's Facebook page say the station is available on XETV. XETV is an affiliate of The CW in San Diego and not available nationwide.

The only thing I am finding via a Google search are websites copying the press release verbatim and stories on the network, with the press release quoted within.

All this combined, the article does not meet GNG or can not be verified, so it doesn't meet V either. NeutralhomerTalk08:04, 17 March 2016 (UTC) 08:04, 17 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]

  • Delete I've been doing the same searching as NH has before the nom to try to get my head around this and been confused; it feels like this 'network' probably bought time on one of DirecTV's voluminous paid programming channels during the Miami Music Week or whatever it's called and called it 'the first EDM network' ever, when the claim is untrue (bpm:tv, a defunct Canadian channel, launched in 2001). XETV is indeed available under a grandfathered superstation tier on DirecTV (emphasis on grandfathered; nobody can get the station on DirecTV unless they're a past subscriber) but Mexico's subchannel regulations would never allow this on as a subchannel of that station, which is the only way I could think this could get on through them. Basically I think we have a brokered programming arrangement with people who have a good way to spin this into a 'new network launch', when it isn't. MYTV also doesn't exist, unless they mean some deep, deep menu in DirecTV's VOD system very few venture into. This should be removed from 2016 in American television if it is indeed what NH and I have described. Nate (chatter) 16:55, 17 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]
    • Comment: Per Nate's suggestion, I have removed the network's mention from 2016 in American television. Taking Nate's idea that the network might be buying time, I checked the various paid program channels (via the guide and the DirecTV app) and found nothing. I also checked through the menu settings, the video-on-demand settings/channels and on the app, didn't find anything there either regarding the network. - NeutralhomerTalk02:47, 18 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]
    • Additional info Someone else was finally able to get out that it was Channel 395, XETV's DirecTV channel, along with a vague statement about it 'airing on your local CW network'. But XETV shows no paid programming where EDMtv claims, and DirecTV throwing this on without XETV's permission over those said timeslots would consist of simple breach of contract XETV would no doubt be unhappy about. And it's also highly unlikely that this small operation would ever get permission to overlay programming on any local CW station on DirecTV only. I'm beginning to think this is sadly an EDM version of the Coleco Chameleon where they made claims about big distribution that turned out to be untrue or fell apart last-minute. • Follow-Up Comment: I've checked a few times on channel 395 and it is consistently blacked out on the guide. Granted I'm on the east coast, so I wouldn't get XETV anyway. I've checked channel 394, which is WDCW, which I do get (also on channel 50) and I'm not seeing it there either. I think it's just a really good hoax and not something that fell apart at the last second. - Neutralhomer has EscapedTalk09:39, 20 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete Lets see after some more months or years if its that notable or not, right now not. D4iNa4 (talk) 16:26, 21 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]
