Sources used are brief mentions, quotes or do not mention the subject of the article. Searches reveal quite a few "David Maddens" but no sources on this one. It is always difficult however to verify whether sources exist for someone that has a common name. CorporateM (Talk) 17:23, 9 February 2015 (UTC)

- Keep. Co-founding both GetUp and Avaaz are two extremely large claims to notability. He isn't the easiest person to search for due to his name, but I found three book sources referring to his history and the significance of his roles within the first two pages of a search for "David Madden" "Avaaz". I think this one passes WP:GNG by a mile, even if the current article isn't stellar. The Drover's Wife (talk) 09:12, 10 February 2015 (UTC)
- Which specific book sources are you referring to? The only ones that I can find from that search say no more about him than that he is a co-founder of Avaaz and a Harvard graduate. If that's all we know about him from reliable sources then it can be included in the Avaaz article with a redirect from his name, rather than in a separate article. 82.9.185.151 (talk) 18:41, 13 February 2015 (UTC)
- I just sourced every statement in the article without any trouble. The Drover's Wife (talk) 02:59, 14 February 2015 (UTC)

- Strong Keep plenty of refs if you add "getup" to google search queries. Mentioned, among other places, in criticism by current senior Federal cabinet minister Abetz - indicating a strong impact on Australian federal politics, as well as smh the age advertiser 7.30 book the monthly the Aus opinion quadrant. Better to PRESERVE articles with few refs/issues that later get edited to satisfactory quality. -- Aronzak (talk) 13:55, 18 February 2015 (UTC)
- Withdrawn Per these two sources[1][2] and the "weaving a new type of web" source, which makes at least two substantial pieces where Madden is the subject of the article. CorporateM (Talk) 16:05, 19 February 2015 (UTC)
- OK to remove AFD tag from the page? -- Aronzak (talk) 00:46, 20 February 2015 (UTC)
