Coverage of Google Street View[edit]

Seeking consensus here to merge only 'Coverage by country or territory' on Google Street View, since Wikipedia is not an indiscriminate collection of information. I believe merging addresses the interests of those who voted "keep" in the AfD (1st nomination). Walwal20 talkcontribs 00:40, 10 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

  • Keep I don't think anything could be merged over there. It'd just be deleting by replacing the article with a redirect. The last AFD had consensus to keep as "this is a timeline, not a directory". Dream Focus 01:37, 10 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]
  • That AfD was closed by a non-admin, with a quite nonneutral closing message. I wouldn't say such consensus actually existed there. Walwal20 talkcontribs 01:42, 10 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]
  • 14 wanted it kept, three wanted it deleted, one wanted it merged. Multiple people did mention it was a valid timeline article, not a directory. Dream Focus 01:54, 10 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]
  • This is the third AFD, the first was when the article was titled Timeline of Google Street View, which ended with an overwhelming keep. Dream Focus 01:54, 10 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]
    • Thanks for pointing that out, I've added that link above. postdlf (talk) 17:03, 10 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]
  • Keep per Dream Focus. Wouldn’t be feasible to merge this over. Zing(Talk!) 02:25, 10 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]
  • Keep I would say it is better to remove the list in the main article and just write about the coverage being available accross all continents. Eventually citing some iconic Street View coverage but keep it simple. People will probably want to know more about the service itself first then check where it is available only if they're actually interested by clicking on the link directing to this article.
