THis was deleted twice as an A7 and G11 but contested at DRV. The DRV closed as list at AFD so here we are. As the DRV closer this listing is administrative and I take no position on the article. Spartaz Humbug! 06:47, 23 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]

TO ADDRESS NOTORIETY here are several front covers by the renowned Motor magazine I mentioned above (think US Motor Trend - it's a production car magazine) ... the number is dictated by what's randomly for sale on eBay as these cars have been featured in plenty more publications:
  • April 1994: The very first Corsa [1]
  • May 1997: Heaven forbid, a Corsa compared against a Porsche and the NS-X [2]
  • July 1995: the fastest ever Australian production car [3] (does my conflict of interest alleged below go back 10 years?! Thanks for the laughs, kind sir)
  • December 1995: another month, another cover [4]
  • June 2000: on the cover, alas, only in fine print this time [5]
  • June 2002: oh no, overshadowing a Corvette? [6]
  • June 2004: celebrating 10 years of CSV [7] (as listed below)
And, lastly, do visit redbook here www.redbook.com.au, which is the automotive bible for vehicle valuations. Search for "CSV" to see this manufacturer has built/sold 100+ models since 1994.
I hope that just because something is not found on the internet nowadays, it never existed. Moreover, searching for the full name instead of "CSV" will not give many hits... online, not in printed media.

  • Delete. Didn't find sufficient coverage about this company hence not notable and fails WP:COMPANY and creator of this article might have close connection to the subject (csv) so Conflict of interest is also a possibility.Nicky mathew (talk) 12:04, 23 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]
  • Nicky mathew Conflict of interest is more desperate than your incomprehensible double success in having this article deleted without discussion. If I don't sound too amicable to you, thank yourself for ignoring my attempts to address even your concerns. Obviously you must not have any valid ones if you didn't bother responding. CtrlXctrlV (talk) 13:11, 23 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]
  • Keep, the company seems notable enough in its field, being on this magazine cover for instance, where it doesn't seem to need explaining to the audience. Combined with the refs that User:Cunard came up with in the DRV I think this might pop just over the WP:GNG. Lankiveil (speak to me) 12:16, 23 June 2015 (UTC).[reply]
  • Comment. A lot of those covers seem to be reviews of particular automobiles, not of the company. Is there any article which is the company's profile? If so, could we see the link to it (or to its scan)? This would make me reconsider my vote here. Keep in mind that notability is not inherited, and having its products reviewed does not automatically make a producer notable. --Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus| reply here 00:19, 24 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]
  • I appreciate your open-mindedness in being willing to re-review the sources.

http://i.ebayimg.com/00/s/MTYwMFgxMjAw/z/a5IAAOSwbqpT5fhA/$_57.JPGWebCite, a June 2004 front cover of Motor, says, "Celebrate Ten Years of Corsas", which indicates that the magazine discusses Corsa Specialised Vehicles' first decade of history. And the first source I linked in my comment below, titled "Motor mouth", indicates that the article discusses Corsa Specialised Vehicles chief executive officer "Dichiera's plans for the company". It's also likely that the sources that discuss the company's products also provide significant coverage about the company itself.

  • Hi Piotrus, thanks for your comment and objectivity as a result of which, I have gone through the trouble of scanning one of the references listed above (thanks again unknown to me Cunard) - http://i59.tinypic.com/vrastx.jpg. As you will see, the scanned article details the company's origins and specifies CSV is a manufacturer. Unfortunately I do not have the 10th Anniversary celebrations article but relative to this scanned 1999 article, CSV did meet its objectives expanding its range and operations. In more recent years it has gone quiet but this does not deny the fact that CSV has Australian manufacturer status (like HSV, HDT etc) under the local Design Rules. I hope this is enough, along with the rest of the evidence layed out in this article, to sway you in favour of keeping this newly created wiki article - though I note (and thank) the majority being in favour already. Here also is a source from Wheels (magazine):
    1. Hawley, Jonathan (December 2007). "CSV GTS LS7". Wheels. Archived from the original on 2015-06-22. Retrieved 2015-06-22.

The article refers to Corsa Specialised Vehicles as "CSV" throughout the article.

There is sufficient coverage in reliable sources to allow Corsa Specialised Vehicles to pass Wikipedia:Notability#General notability guideline, which requires "significant coverage in reliable sources that are independent of the subject".
