The result was Keep. An article merge can be proposed at Wikipedia:Proposed mergers, or a redirect can be worked out later, but there is no reason to fully delete the article. - DiligentTerrier (and friends)18:19, 21 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]
- Communism in North Korea (edit | talk | history | protect | delete | links | watch | logs | views) (delete) – (View log)
Article has little content, nothing that cannot be covered by the Politics of North Korea article. The little content in the article doesn't really correspond to the title; communism is a political movement not a form of governance. A Communism in Korea article, with an oversight of the history and development of communist movements in Korea, would be a valid article though. Soman (talk) 20:18, 18 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]
- Keep - Nom proposes no valid reason for deletion, article contains plenty content also. Sunderland06 (talk) 20:27, 18 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

- Delete (redirect to Politics of North Korea would be OK). Unnecessary article, started, perhaps, by someone who was unaware that the subject has already been covered. I disagree that this article has "plenty content", since it consists of three somewhat general sentences (Communism...implemented through the comprehensive nationalization of industry and agriculture, North Korea has always tried to keep a good relationship with both the Soviet Union and China, The Korean Workers’ Party tightly controls the country through youth organization.) Nominator's reason for deletion is right on the money. Mandsford (talk) 20:51, 18 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]
- Redirect to Politics of North Korea. This subject is notable, but it falls within the scope of that much better-written article which gives appropriate context to the discussion of the subject of "communism" in relation to North Korea. Ryan Paddy (talk) 22:22, 18 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

- Redirect to Politics of North Korea per Ryan Paddy. Masterpiece2000 (talk) 03:35, 19 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]
- Keep - Article was listed in Wikipedia:The Core Contest, as one of the most important in wikipedia. I think that the content of an article is irrelevant to the question of deletion. What matters is the importance of the subject of the article, not the topic. Hektor (talk) 13:21, 19 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]
- Comment, one user listed the entry Communism in North Korea at Wikipedia:The Core Contest/Articles [1], prior to the creation of the article we are talking about. I never said that the subject as such was not notable, but that the present article doesn't actually cover the said subject. A redirect to Politics of North Korea is a better temporary solution. --Soman (talk) 13:37, 19 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]
- Redirect to Politics of North Korea. Otolemur crassicaudatus (talk) 19:21, 19 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]
- Keep and significantly expand. Obviously, the promotion of communist ideology in North Korea is a notable subject. This is more than "politics".Biophys (talk) 20:12, 19 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]
- Keep. This is a notable subject; rather the article needs expansion. Axl (talk) 21:29, 19 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]
